Pumpkin spice lattes, many of us look forward to them each fall season. They are that perfect combination of sweet and savory, warm and comforting. Our dogs shouldn’t drink the ones made for people, but we set out to make one they could have, and one that even has potential health benefits.

Here’s our dog-friendly pumpkin spice latte creation:

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp of Barkista Pumpkin Spice Latte Instant Dog Coffee (or any flavor of Barkista Instant Dog Coffee)

  • 3 ounces of warm water (Make sure the water is not hot.)

  • 1 tsp of pumpkin purée (We like the Weruva brand, made for dogs. If buying from grocery store, make sure you’re getting pure pumpkin with no added ingredients.)

  • Optional: Whipped cream (We like the Pup Cup brand, made for dogs. If getting from the grocery store, make sure there are no artificial sweeteners.)

  • Optional: Drizzle of peanut butter. (We like pumpkin peanut butter for dogs, made by barkbistro. If getting from grocery store, make sure you’re buying peanut butter with only peanuts as the sole ingredient.)

Instructions

  1. Add Barkista Coffee to warm water.

  2. Stir until fully combined.

  3. Add pumpkin purée.

  4. Stir until fully combined.

  5. Top with whipped cream.

  6. Drizzle with peanut butter.

Serve to your happy pup. ☕️

Potential health benefits (based on commonly known properties, not health claims or claims to cure or treat any condition):

🧡 Pumpkin Purée: Pumpkin is a source of fiber and beta-carotene, which has been said to support digestion.

🥜 Peanut Butter: Peanuts provide protein, a great source of accessible energy to power your pup’s adventures.

☕️ Barkista Instant Dog Coffee: This latte mix has ingredients that may provide digestive support, immune system support, and cognitive benefits and has antioxidants.
