If you’re anything like us as dog pawrents, you are always looking be for dog-friendly adventures, and farmers’ markets are often a great option.
What to look for:
🐾 Is the market outside?
🐾 Does the website mention the event being dog-friendly? You can often find this in an FAQ section.
🐾 Is it in a park? Are there any town or city ordinances about dogs in that park?
🐾 When in doubt, reach out to event organizers, and verify if you’re dog can come along.
What to bring:
🐾 Dog refuse bags
🐾 Water (Make sure there is no sodium bicarbonate/baking soda in it, which is often found in bottled water.)
🐾 Dog treats
🐾 Water bowl
🐾 Bone to keep your dog occupied if you decide to have lunch at a restaurant patio or at the market.
🐾 A cooling mat for your dog to lie on
🐾 No retractable leash no longer than 6 feet
We did the research, so you don’t have to. Here are some dog-friendly farmers’ markets in Wisconsin. These are subject to change. Let us know at sitprettypup@gmail.com is any of these are no longer dog-friendly or if any should be added to the list.
